: About Me

Hey, Im Jessica, but I'm usually called Jess.
Im 16 and live in Australia, I started writing at a young age, but not because I wanted to be a writer, just purely for the fact that I like to write, and get things out on paper.

I love listening to music, a couple of bands I like are, Tool, Coheed and Cambria, Nine Inch Nails, I love Sufjan Stevens, Guster, South, Spoon, I also love ACDC, Black Label Society and so many other artists. I work quite alot at Safeway as a checkout chick/longlife/deli girl. I also attend school, im in year 10.

I love the beach, and I love to write about the beach. I also love horror movies, but they never scare me.

Sitting on the beach with either, my mum and sisters, or sitting on the beach with my best mate.

Why I write ...

Empathy. I write to try and understand and feel what other people might feel. I love to write.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I at the moment am reading either Harry Potter or some John Marsden books, I listen to a wide range of rock, heavy metal, indie, alternative bands and I love to watch Spicks and Specks, The Chasers War on Everything and Doctor Who.

My first job ...

Was at Woolworths and still is, except where I live it is called Safeway.

My best moment ...

Was reading some of my work on radio and infront of a large crowd for Writers Week in Hobart (TAS)

My inspiration ...

I dont have an inspiration as such, just people I admire, ie, my dad, mum, John Marsden, JK Rowling, Isobelle Carmody. Many more.
