I live in Texas with my girlfriend and an ancient, intransigent, and rather silly Bichon Frise named Vito the Don Corleone. I learn everything I can about everything I can and naturally categorize, compare, correlate, and cross-reference everything that enters my head with everything already there. I have a fierce desire to know what's behind things and have never been satisfied with the Reader's Digest version (due primarily to my realization that life is almost never a simple, high-contrast matter with clear lines of demarcation/opposition...so anyone on an earnest quest to find and analyze every bit of truth relevant to a given matter had better be ready to sit down and really listen closely, possibly even for no small length of time).
I have a perpetual sense of humor, lack the ability to get offended, and believe that obtaining the [usually excruciatingly-elusive] prize of a truly sincere and inquisitive inward honesty is the key factor in finding both perfect knowledge and true happiness. (Most of us allow ourselves to be side-tracked constantly as we focus on-and allow ourselves to believe there is relevance to-shallow elements of no real universal value or importance whatsoever.)
It's probably worth mentioning that I am entirely used to holding variously unpopular, unconventional views and am usually quite outspoken regarding such. It may help anyone finding themselves in disagreement with any of my positions, on any issue, to know up front that I couldn't possibly care less whether or not my view is shared by any/everyone else. The majority may rule, but that's a far cry from actually making them right. My prime directive in life is to seek truth of any kind and I constantly struggle to maintain as pure an example of objectivity as I possibly can. I love to be proven wrong in a debate/discussion (after all, it means I've learned something new). But know also that I rarely, if ever, take a stance on something without being aware of as many relevant factors, from all sides, as I can possibly find and assimilate. So chances are fairly good that I won't be just sitting on the fence, waiting for some charismatic, heart-string-tugging salesperson to come and save me with his/her ideas of truth.
For fun I play/listen to music and conduct target practice with my extensive collection of monkey wrenches in order to remain in a constant state of readiness for any suddenly-encountered nefarious "Works" whose path my own route may happen to intersect at any given time.

A Fresh Look at Our Air
(How to Save the World and Become a Hero for the Non-Critical Thinker)
There's a lot of talk these days about global warming and all of the dreaded horrors and impending doom that will almost certainly be our fate, predicted to be thrust violently upon humanity like a heavy thunderstorm of raining balls of fire, if everyone doesn't hop on the shining Green bandwagon and stop utilizing half the technologies and processes that facilitate the comfortable, expedient, and otherwise convenient and/or economical style of living which is the modern way of life for most p...
