I'm 54 and absolutely young at heart. My two most preferred sayings of all time - "God helps those who help themselves" and "Knowledge is power".

My three children are grown and pursuing life, the oldest one giving me three grandchildren. I entered into the best relationship of my life 6 years ago. Because of our maturity, both in years and in experience, this relationship is wonderfully solid. Third time is the charm. Notice all the 'threes' in this paragraph!

I was born in Vermont, I 'grew up' in California, but I now hail from Arizona. The summers are hot, but the rest of the year is absolutely gorgeous!

My hobbies are numerous. My greatest character flaw is that I often take on more than my plate can handle... but I don't care. I enjoy needlepoint (particularly crochet), gardening (particularly herbs), home remodeling (particularly on a dime), writing (particularly snipets of life), classic-car restoration (we are avid E-Bay-ers) and our current project is a '79 Camaro Z28 (T-top!); but, my passion is photography. My most prized toy is a digital/SLR Canon Rebel XT.

The past two years, I've entered a whole new realm - learning how to build my own website and/or blog. What a momentous task! So much information to sift through. But I'm game. What's that frequent buzz phrase... they're under 'construction'. My whole life is! If you've got a moment, take a look -

Quiet, reserved, and terribly introverted, my favorite place as a child was away from people.

This meant outside - anywhere outside.

Woods and meadows surrounded my home in all directions. My childhood was rooted in deep country living.

At any time of day, and any time of year my haven was in fresh air, in an environment bereft of laughing, judging and condescending people. Rather, the clouds, mud-pond frogs, fluttering butterflies, flitting fireflies, tall trees, swaying ferns, the day's warm sun, the night's blue moon, and my imaginative dreams - were my companions.
