: About Me

I am 27 years old, a citizen of North Carolina. I am new to Helium so right now I am still "learning" to improve my writing skills. I have published several poems in the past with the International Library of Poetry and received good comments about my work there. I enjoy writing short stories, particularly science fiction and/or horror. I work in grocery retail sales, mostly in customer service. I am here to hopefully become a better writer and to better express my opinions in written form.

protecting the freedom of others.

Harry Potter! (I am a major fan.)

My parents always told me ...

to try hard to reach my goals.

My childhood ambition ...

was to become a paramedic or doctor.

My favorite memory ...

hanging out with my grandfather when I was a kid.

Why I write ...

to express my feelings and perhaps inspire someone else.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

is all the "Harry Potter" books and movies and any "Rammstein" CD.

My first job ...

is the job I still have...been there 10 years now.

My best moment ...

is when I have helped another person in some way.

My inspiration ...

my grandfather, a man who never spoke a harsh word in all his life.

The Forlorn Sound of Silence The task was done, the sun had set on his dreams, and he wanted to run Away from his girlfriend, a love he could not mend, because it already reached the end He had little hope, he could not cope, and so he tied that fatal rope To an aged oak tree, whispering, "Have mercy on me," and letting his body swing free She stood over his casket with a new lover nearby; she did not cry, she gave no sigh Amid the forlorn sound of silence, he molders under the ground, having never found joy His bones are everlastingly alone and all traces of his existence are forever gone
