: About Me

Hi,

My name is Johan Dahlberg. For years I've been extremely interested in writing - from short stories and poetry to articles and reports.

During the past nine years I've been moving around quite a bit and lived in three different countries. I am originally and 100% Swedish, but the country I care most for is Denmark (in which I've spent six years). I also used to live in Finland (three years), but now I've returned to Sweden.

All this moving around has taught me a thing or two, a lot of which is mirrored in my Helium work. I speak "three and a half" different languages (Swedish, Danish, English and partly German - I never learned much Finnish). My recent years in Finland have also helped me improve my English a lot as I've been "forced" to communicate with people using this language.

Furthermore I'm known for my skills of taking initiative and being creative. I have participated in quite a few writing related projects and contests and even started and organized my own. Here are some examples:

I stopped at a point where the old forest path split in two. This is where they found my father, I thought. My father had died about a year earlier. They had found him lying on the ground, with every bone in his body broken, as if he had fallen and hit the ground at high speed.
