Hi,
My name is Johan Dahlberg. For years I've been extremely interested in writing - from short stories and poetry to articles and reports.
During the past nine years I've been moving around quite a bit and lived in three different countries. I am originally and 100% Swedish, but the country I care most for is Denmark (in which I've spent six years). I also used to live in Finland (three years), but now I've returned to Sweden.
All this moving around has taught me a thing or two, a lot of which is mirrored in my Helium work. I speak "three and a half" different languages (Swedish, Danish, English and partly German - I never learned much Finnish). My recent years in Finland have also helped me improve my English a lot as I've been "forced" to communicate with people using this language.
Furthermore I'm known for my skills of taking initiative and being creative. I have participated in quite a few writing related projects and contests and even started and organized my own. Here are some examples:
1. Enthusiastic short story writer at Writing.com,
2. A long list of contest participations, both on the web and in the real world,
3. Devoted contest host (both at Writing.com and other websites),
4. Proud blog owner,
5. Published author both on and off the web,
6. manager of a Helium Zone and Group.
So, I suggest you check out some of my articles here on Helium, and while you're at it have a look at the links under "My Links" to the right for links to my Zone and Group here at Helium.

My passion is ...
writing.
I know too much about ...
writing & the bad sides of moving abroad.
My parents always told me ...
that there's a solution to every problem.
My childhood ambition ...
was to become a famous writer (and it still is, but I've learned to think more realistic).
My favorite memory ...
is of my grandmother.
Why I write ...
to entertain, educate and stimulate (others as well as myself).
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
books written in English, colorful and abstract paintings & all kinds of music from classical to rock.
My best moment ...
was when I realized school is a good thing.
My inspiration ...
the people surrounding me and the colors of life.
I stopped at a point where the old forest path split in two. This is where they found my father, I thought. My father had died about a year earlier. They had found him lying on the ground, with every bone in his body broken, as if he had fallen and hit the ground at high speed. But there was nothing to fall from, except for trees, and they weren't nearly tall enough to cause such severe injuries. Officially his death was classified as an accident, but no one had ever been able to determine the true cause of how he died. I looked in one direction. The path was dark and gloomy, and only surr...
