I was born in London, England and have lived in the USA since 1985, currently living near Philadelphia, PA.
I am married with 2 step children and 5 grandchildren all of whom live in England.
I started my career as a computer programmer in 1966 and have progressed through various metamorphoses into my current position as a Risk Management Consultant.
As a September 11th and a breast cancer survivor, with my wonderful husband by my side, I embrace every that the good Lord gives me.
I am a public speaker, having achieved the status of Advanced Toastmaster, Silver. I give speeches on a diverse range of subjects from the wild ponies of Chincoteague Island to Hormone Replacement Therapy. My speeches are always informative, usually amusing (at least in parts) and often inspirational.
I have a business making Native American style crafts, dream-catchers and mandellas which I sell on the web and at horse shows. I am also a life long equestrian.
In England I worked with abused and rejected horses training them for show jumping and now, in the USA I have continued my rehab work with abused horses as well as showing, breeding and owning Reining horses.
My husband and I have recently decided to dedicate our equestrian focus exclusively to the Reining industry and are embarking on a new branch of our business by investing in young reining horses which will be shown as 3-year olds.
When I retire in a couple of years time, we will spend our time traveling to horse shows, running our businesses and enjoying our horses, dog (Georgia) and cat (Buster).
All of these experiences and activities give my plenty of fodder for my other passion - writing!

She was not large as Bassets go and for the majority of her 12 years she maintained a very trim figure around 45 to 50 pounds. It baffles me how she did that because I got WAY more exercise than she did and I have struggled with my weight all my life!
Bessie never needed to be walked, which is why I thought of her for this subject. We had a large yard, just over an acre, but...
