Money.
Money is something big in Anime and Manga. Manga isn't cheap unless they are having a sale. Where I live for one volume of a Manga called Hellsing it costs 15 dollars. Kids have been know to become more addicted to it then adults which is true. I don't know to many adults that have a lot of Anime/Manga stuff in their room. Also conventions aren't cheap either. Costumes can cost a fortune...I know myself because of the fact being that one costume I spent 300 dollars on. So in this case money is something you kind of need to have.
