I grew up in Florida, moved to Texas when I was 26 and have no idea where I'll end up. I have somehow captured the love of someone I don't deserve. First Jesus, now Shelley. That feels a lot like success.
How else will a married couple show the love of Christ to the world if not through their marriage? Is that not the first place the world will look? If marriage is a model of Christ's love for the church, then what does that mean we are called to? Christ's love for the church is wrought with longsuffering, the pain of adultery, long seasons of estrangement, and bitter selfishness on the part of His bride.
