As one who lives in the Midwest, I can report that people still talk about each other with hatred in their hearts. Differences are still not well tolerated and segregation is still in the minds of many. As a man of the lighter skin color, I am able to hear many conversations that others are not. I fear that many people still have not learned that color is only skin deep. If we are living here legally, we are citizens. Citizens should care for one another and set aside minor differences.
