About me - Valerie J Routhieaux

About me

My name is Valerie Jean Routhieaux. My pen name is Valerie Jean.

I completed a course for children in 2006: The Institute of Children's Literature.

I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, am the mother of three and the grandmother of five. I am currently on the move to a new home I am in the process of buying with my twelve-year-old border collie, Rascal.

I have had a passion for writing since I was a young girl. I read as much as I could, and started writing when I saw a television show that I felt I could write better. I was eight.

The road to publication started for me in 1980 at the same time that I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord and began a journey that is second to none.

I have 30+ titles for books that I hope to have published one day. I have just as many articles on www.faithwriters.com.

I write novels for Christian fiction most genre's. I also write poetry, Bible studies, devotions, and currently working on a Sunday School curriculum for children K-5 for my church.

I also write for NaNoWriMo.com and currently working on the April Script Frenzy challenge to write 100 pages in 30 days.

You can read exerpts of my finished novels on my website: http://just4him.webs.com
