Hey, everyone.
I'm a late-blooming writer. I took up accounting in college and realized my passion for writing years later. I had to admit to myself that this was one of the best skills I had after hearing people always say this was one of the things I could do really well. It's hard to stop denying yourself the pleasurable abundance the creator is trying to put in front of you sometimes...but I'm thankful I realized my passion lies in educating/career counseling on business matters (music industry) and writing (about life and about the music industry).
I discovered I have a love for the youth (high school/college age) and have taken a serious interest in educating them about the inner workings of the music industry since so many of them don't have a clue about what really goes on behind the scenes. I've written a book that helps the parents that are interested in helping their children see the benefits in getting in music and educating them both about the music industry (I mention the title below).
In the past two years, I've written a book called, So, Your Child Has Talent, Now WHAT?!?, which is going to be released as an audio book under my independent publishing company, Inspired By Truth, LLC (www.inspiredbytruth.com); I have a blog called Mill's Indie Music Insider which can be found at www.milldavis.com, I'm in the process of writing 2 other books, one for African-American high school students and one for the indie music industry. I've written numerous articles on the music industry, more along the inspirational side (as my blog) and more about really pursuing your dreams and not just talking about them.
In my spare time, I write bios, press releases and marketing plans for the entertainment industry, I am the entertainment editor of a small non-profit org's community newspaper and previously the editor of my corporations departmental newsletter (for 2 years).
I pray that my musings touch you just as much as they touch me as I share them with you. The Universe guides my hands and I type as I feel the words come through.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Why go against what feels the most natural to you? Age ain't nothing but a number. You are only as old as you feel. Passions are insatiable desires that will never go away if choose not to fulfill them. They will nag you. They will eat away at you until you decide to do something about it. You can literally go insane for trying to suppress the very thing that is part of you. Unfortunately, many of us find out too late that the number of years that our physical existence has graced this earth has anything to do with living life to its fullest. By then, we've wasted many years trying to figu...
