About me

And they say addictions are bad, but Helium? What a wonderful addiction to have.

English is not my first language and yet already I have been challenged to improve my writing and ability whilst expressing my views about so many subjects relevant to our everyday lives yet encouraging me to be open about the views of others.

My parents arrived in Australia in the 60s where I was raised and still live today. I have travelled back to Greece many times to a small island in the Aegean, many family members still there.

Both countries have influenced who I am today. I am passionate about both, choosing to see the positives in both, and appreciating two completely different ways of life.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Bringing a smile to the troubled, and Edvard Munch's The Scream (No I don't have it, but I wish). See my image, this was painted by me in 1989 whilst still at school, this is only a portion of the real thing

I know too much about ...

Sensing how a person feels

My parents always told me ...

Your life is mapped out by you alone

My childhood ambition ...

Don't remember having one, apart from wanting to escape and live a hermit's life, ha now i'm online advertising to the world, talk about overcoming the privacy fear

My favorite memory ...

What's happening now

Why I write ...

It just happens, nothing forced, feelings through my fingertips on to the keyboard, and into the lives of whoever wants to listen, or whoever needs it most, ask me a question, i'll have the answer meant for you, honest and unbiased

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Believe by Desmond Tuto and Mirrors of the Soul by Kahlil Gibran. What i'm watching Scooby Do (by default) over and over again

My first job ...

Night courier, whilst at uni

My best moment ...

Floating in the endless aegean

My inspiration ...

Somewhere, someone will be themselves inspired and encouraged by one sentence alone, that I have written, or a word I have spoken

Parenting & Pregnancy > Childbirth & Labor The benefits of choosing midwives rather than obstetricians

I have given birth twice, the first time with an obstetrician the second with a midwife. I never imagined that there would be so many differences in the delivery process. Below are my observations that I believe every mum to be should consider! Birth 1 I had a healthy conception and pregnancy with no foreseeable problems. My intention was to wait and give birth when baby was ready, with inducement to occur only if baby was overdue. My mindset was to have an epidural because secretly I feared a natural birth. First time labour is such an unknown, I wasn't sure if I could do it. I was lucky ...
