I have invented a rotary engine that would minimize drastically our dependence in petroleum. This engine would use plant-based oils as fuel as it operate in a thermodynamically-efficient diesel cycle. But the big environmental impact of it is the minimal use of raw materials and processes that would have negative environmental effects: it uses very little metals as it will be made out of ceramics that makes it very long lasting and would not contribute to wasteful metallic scraps and the energy-wasting manufacturing processes to make another replacements, unlike the ordinary bulky inefficient engines which have very less life cycle. Moreover, it is energy and fuel efficient inherent with the area-contact sealing it has attained with very few moving parts, such that friction, heat, and mechanical losses are very negligible. It has eliminated also the inefficient processes like the cooling system and fluid restrictions like throttling and small ports that would waste precious energy. This improvements would very much enhance the safety and reliability of the engine and its compact package would snow-ball into smaller, lighter and more responsive components whether of transportation use or for stationary applications like generator sets and prime mover. Hopefully the world would embrace the ecological and economic benefits my invention would entail as I offer my invention for free without any patent and no patent infringements to fear upon, as the success of the design I presented would need the cooperation of research institutions interested to develop the design further in a much faster pace so that we could replace sooner those wasteful conventional engines.
Transforming a conventional metallic engine, specifically of reciprocating (piston) type, into a production ceramics engine is an expensive venture as it will cost approximately ten times more to produce. A conventional reciprocating ceramics engine would be futile to be at par with metal engines in areas of mass appeal as the cost is prohibitive, dramatically offsetting the great benefits it offers. Yet, the scenario is completely different when a best cast-metal alternative-my rotary engine invention-of one-tenth the size of comparable horsepower, comes to the scene: a tenfold increase in cost of the alternative rotary design to mass-produce it from cast metal to ceramics is just equivalent in cost to a metallic conventional reciprocating engine but with the vast features and advantages of ceramics! As my alternative cast-metal rotary is one-tenth the size and weight of piston type, so its more-refined ceramic rotary counterpart could lessen it even more to one-twentieth the weight compared to conventional ones, as ceramics is roughly half the weight of cast metal. To top it all, an ordinary cooling system that add to its disadvantages in weight, size, efficiency, convenience and cost, is virtually eliminated with the help of the insulating property of ceramics. With this, tremendous advantages abound: In aeronautics, wherein weight, along with safety, is a critical factor, the enormous weight saved is enough to have a smaller and, consequently, much safer engine to lift heavier payload in equivalent horsepower but with much agility, greater fuel efficiency and accordingly lesser fuel and tank mass carried.

The power rotor that effectively compresses and expands the working chamber as it rotates is the key component of all effective rotary engines. Yet, the weakest link of any rotary configuration well-known for simplicity is the chamber sealing-notice the Wankel engine apex seals (examine RX-8 Mazda's Renesis Engine). The simplest types (those with rotor and eccentric as the only major moving parts) have not eliminated the line-contact seals to rise above the reciprocating engines that enjoyed the area-contact seal provided by their simple and effective piston rings (see the animation of HEH...
