Hi, I am Glenys Hicks, a 54 year old Australian Christian married to Chris. We have 6 adult children and 12 grandchildren so far. I love writing, especially to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers and homemakers. I believe in living life in a balanced way and my articles are written with that in mind. I do not portray myself as the perfect wife and mother or the strongest of Christians nor do I paint life in an idealistic and therefore unachievable manner. Rather, I speak from the heart and sometimes shoot from the hip which I have found to be a balanced form of communication. I pray you will read and enjoy my articles.

In grace you flit from place to place, Revelling in your freedom- Your reward for the brave struggle won Of fleeing your cocoon. What a feast you are to my eyes, You delight my very soul; I long to reach out and hold you; This must be kept under my control, For the price to you would be too great- A cost too great to bear- A frightened quivering butterfly, Smashed wings never again to glide in air....
