My career in the investment community spanned thirty-five years. Twenty-five of those years were spent with the firm of Merrill Lynch followed by time spent as a senior investment analyst for an on-line investment firm.
During my free time I became intensely interested in the origin of the universe and life on our planet. I have carefully read the works of Stephen Hawking, Brian Greene, Lisa Randall, Charles Darwin, Stephen Jay Gould, Donald Johanson, Richard Leakey and others.
In the Philosophy arena I took on Epicurus, Lucretius, Plato, Montaigne, Bertrand Russell, and Douglas Hofstadter. I pushed myself to read the Bible, most of the Koran, The Book of Mormon, and some of the Torah. I went so far as to study astrology and did some reading associated with spirituality. Recently, I had a satire published, "The Hero of Limbo".
As a result I don't fish very well and my golfing abilities leave much to be desired. But, because of my reading, my life has been exciting and I continue to look forward to the frontiers of science and learning. Oh yes, I have a very patient wife, AJ, two children and five of the most beautiful and intelligent grandchildren imaginable.

Ordinary folks the world over have no aspirations for conquering the world, for dominating the politics of the world, they just want a nice tasty supper. All nations are made up of ordinary people just like you, me and our neighbors. What does ex...
