About me - Cat Tackling

aboutme

Born and raised in Southern New England, I am a Swamp Yankee girl at heart. I have been very blessed in my life with parents that loved me very much, a brother that I am very close to and a husband whom I adore and adores me right back. I have two cats, a brother and sister, that are both 20 years old and two dogs, a Basset Hound named Porkchop and a Black Lab named Bo.

Writing did not really take my fancy until a few months ago. I find that I pull a lot of inspiration from my own life and from the lives of people I know. Writing for me is very freeing. It allows me to envelope my raw feelings and put those feelings down on paper. One of my favorite places to write is on my deck, and even though it is almost mid winter - I still find myself on my deck when I can feel a little warmth from the winter sun.
I very much enjoy gardening, cooking, spending time with my husband, my family, my neighbors, and getting together with the "girls". Cruising is my travel of choice and I absolutely love the Caribbean islands. More frequently my husband and I are discussing making one of those islands our home during our retirement. That is definitely a dream to look forward too.

Thank you so much for reading my stories. Be well and be loved - Cat

Sitting on the crest of the hill overlooking the ocean, I was not really paying attention to the change in the weather as clouds built up on the horizon. I guess I was just too engrossed in the novel that I was reading. After all, I was a sucker for medieval tails of love, treachery, and adventure.

I absolutely love sitting on the crest of that hill as the ocean breeze gradually undoes whatever victory I had declared upon my hairstyle earlier that day. Gradually the breeze had been followed by a couple of strong gusts that had caught my attention. I lifted my head and waved my arm to the...
