I live by the sea opposite North Wales
on (near Liverpool)Wirral, a beautiful and relatively unknown part of the North West. We have one son and one daughter at college and three younger daughters, so my wife and I are kept busy with family life.
My main interest is creative writing; mostly poems, short stories and articles. Although I also have 3 books on the go, that get my attention from time to time.
We lived lived in Tanzania,
East Africa until 2006, when ill health and family bereavement brought us back to the UK. We worked with special needs children and orphans which impacted all of us, and has changed our 'world view' dramatically.
I hope to develop my skills as a writer and hopefully get published in a variety of genres. I am active in writers groups, have had my poems and storied recorded for local radio, ( 7waves 92.1 fm)which are to be broadcast over the coming weeks.
I also run a 'self help' group for people in my area, who suffer with depression and anxiety.
I like critiquing other's work, and hope other writers will be interested enough to read mine and make honest appraisals.
The more I write, the more I reallise it is a part of me that is bursting to express itself. Whether it is poetry, true life or fiction, in one sense does not matter to me. Writing frees me up more than any other activity. However, as to whether my work is good enough for others to enjoy and buy, is another matter! I truly hope so!

Are modern Muslim fatwas (religious orders issued by leaders of Islam) fuelling Islamic extremism? If a Fatwa is about inciting hatred and violence against anyone, including their own brothers as well as us infidels, absolutely! But what is behind the Fatwa, why do Imams and Ayatollahs incite ordinary people into such frenzied aggression? I have been studying Islam, Judaism and Christianity for about 20 years; and have come to understand a little of the evils of religion. Each one blames the other for atrocities committed over the last 2000 years. The leaders have time and time again convi...
