I grew up in Louisville, Ky... I worked at Churchill Downs Racetrack with thorobred horses when I was 18, and worked at other racetracks in that regional circuit when the season ended, such as Sportsman's Park in the Chicago area.. I moved to Philadelphia, Pa. after a 2 week visit when I was 20. I met my husband here, in Philly, through a mutual friend in 1978. We both worked at Garden State Park Racetrack, Keystone Racetrack (Philly Park), and Atlantic City Racetrack. We left the racetrack when I became pregnant with my first child. My husband and I moved to San Diego, Ca. where we lived for 2 years (1984-1986) when our 1st two children were small and where our 3rd child was born. We moved back to Philadelphia when she was a year old. We were divorced in 1996. My children, my son and two daughters, are now in their 20's and reside in Philadelphia as well.
