Writing has been my passion ever since my seventh grade English teacher introduced poetry to the class. After that it was journalism. I was bitten by the writing bug forever more. While there have been long stretches that my journals were put away, they never stayed dusty for long.
My interest in liquor didn't begin with drinking. It began behind the bar. I look at liquor, liqueurs, bitters, fruits, and juices like a chef may look at meats, veggies, fruits, and herbs. Each play a part in combining and layering to create the ultimate cocktail. A drink shouldn't just be about throwing one back and getting drunk. Every sip and swallow passes by the nose and taste buds first. We should be making those senses count to the fullest so we can enjoy every drink to the fullest. Savoring the flavor of the cocktail is what I like to do. It is what I like to pass on to the reader, so they can recreate great cocktails of their own as well.

St~Germain. Never heard of it? Neither had I, but I'm always on the lookout for that new and different liqueur to try. By new, I mean new to me. By different, I mean unusual.
