I've always enjoyed reading and writing short stories. My resource thus far has come from life experiences. I started working in banks right out of high school and have continued in the financial industry most of my career. Intermingled between banks have been short spurts of different fields including burying TV cable, lawn care and restoration, inventory control, manager of a bath and body store, a report specialist, clerical work in a recycling center, and a lawyer's office. My favorite and definitely the most odd was data entry and unpacking specimens in a government faciality which required an FBI background search and being finger printed. All these experiences have come up in my writing along the way.
I'm the mother of two grown, independent adults, wife to a teddybear-of-a-construction worker, caregiver to two energetic cats, and sister to eight younger siblings. I graduated high school never really knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up and still have only a vague idea of what I expect to end up. With each new experience I gain some knowledge and add it to the pile.
I love to sew, solve Sudoku puzzles, play Star Collector and Rummy Squares, browse through garage sales hunting for that elusive treasure, and create webpages using HTML.
I write in the style that I speak; nothing complicated or eloquent, just simple down-to-earth most of the time. However my favorite subject matter tends to be of the colorful, alternative lifestyles that lean towards the daydreamer or fantasy side.
My passion is ...
something I'm still searching for. I have favorites, but nothing I would call a passion.
I know too much about ...
being an ugly duckling and wanting to belong.
My parents always told me ...
keep my nose clean, be seen and not heard, there'll be time for that later, and watch out for the younger ones.
My childhood ambition ...
was to be a musician, a dancer, a social climber, a saint, one-of-the-boys.
My favorite memory ...
was the birth of both my children and my father hugging me in public after a concert in which I had a solo
Why I write ...
to release the ideas pounding in my head and give me some piece of mind.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read smutty romance, scifi, murder mysteries by Lindsey, Koontz, and Clancy. I watch do-it-yourself project shows on decorating and crafts with some CSI and Lost thrown in, but I'm a sucker for romantic comedies. I listen to heavy metal, alternative rock, and moody melodies.
My first job ...
babysitting and beanwalking as a kid and a bookkeeper/teller for a small hometown bank.
You'd think that sex would be a thrill, no matter what age or stage a relationship has grown to. Such is not the case. I've been married for two years to someone I've known sexually for over five years and sex is not the same now as it was at the beginning. Our first sexual encounters with each other were exciting, more than likely because of the anticipation. Sexual performances by either of us were nothing noteworthy, however we each felt the anticipation of what our sex life could be with each other. We eagerly awaited each encounter, feeling that our sex lives would only get better as ...
