About me - Tom Parsons

About me

I am a retired pastor and Christian school teacher now devoting my time to the ministry of writing. I have enjoyed some success in writing over the years. I have had more than forty articles published in a denominational publication. And recently I published my first book, "Windsor's Child," my own testimony about how God revealed Himself to me when I was a small boy living in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The book is available through my website, or from Trafford Bookstores online.

I have been married to the same woman since 1968. We have three grown daughters who have given us a total of eight grandchildren.

At the age of 67, I am still active in my local church where I serve as a Deacon, an adult Bible-school teacher, and as a small group leader. My desire is to serve the Lord as long as He leaves me on this earth, then go to worship and serve Him forever in a better place He prepared for me.

In retirement God has given me an active, though not yet financially rewarding, writing ministry. I maintain a website (www.tmpministries.com) where I post articles I have written and display photographs I have taken.

There is a tendency in our culture today to think that segregation on a religious basis is a bad thing. After all, we are taught that we should all come together, that we are in the process of building one world, that we need to put aside the things that divide us and build on the things that unite us.
However, it is not necessarily a bad thing to be divided by religion. My faith gives me an identity I would not otherwise have. I can identify myself as a believer in whate...
