I've been writing professionally for about 10 years. I started writing as a child when I wrote poetry and told stories through illustration.
I'd forgotten about writing until I was in college and had a professor that continually complimented my writing and suggested I pursue it as a career. I ignored that suggstion until nearly my last year when I decided to change my major to Journalism.
I was able to combine my writing and editorial talents with the burgeoning Internet and have been able to parlay that into a reasonable creative career (freelance & employed).
I hope to make positive contributions to the Helium community.
