I am a recently semi-retired engineer who is now enjoying writing for fun and profit (hopefully, on the latter). My travels have been extensive throughout the United States including to all states except Maine and Hawaii. Nearby foreign travels include Canada, Mexico and Venezuela in the Western Hemisphere. I lived and worked in Germany for two years and traveled to nearly all major European countries except Greece and Portugal from there. My travels included business trips to two locations in Russia (Siberia) and a vacation in Turkey. Another two highly interesting years were spent living and working in Nigeria (West Africa) before returning to the USA. I have written a non-fiction book and am currently seeking a publisher. Progress on a novel is also in progress. My travels have provided a wealth of experiences and a better understanding of life outside the United States.

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! (A SHORT STORY) Few would ever believe it, but a young American genius had invented a 'perpetual motion' or free energy' machine. Such a machine is one that needs no renewable energy to allow it to function continuously. To provide any useful benefit the machine must be capable of doing 'work', not just running endlessly. Steve Carlson had invented just such a machine that would quickly turn the world of transportation on its ear. In doing so, he had defied the scientific community that had for centuries claimed that such a thing was not even possible. . Throughout history...
