About me - Gregory T. Janetka

About me

I am 25 years old, a 2005 graduate with a bachelor's degree in political science from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. I attended American University in Washington D.C. for the first three years of my college career, under the naive notion of becoming a politician. After living there and realizing how the political world actually works, I left it. Unfortunately for me, I am no good at lying and playing silly political games, thus the life of a politician is not for me. I believe I do have fairly good writing skills, and if anyone would like to give me a job as a writer, please let me know.

I am a sentient human being who believes we all must take responsibility for ourselves. All of the pain of life comes from our own desires, not from anyone else.
We must always ask ourselves, "How do I know what I think I know?"
There is so much beauty in this world, in ourselves, if we would simply turn off the TV for a few minutes and realize it.
We must wake up to the world and realize what is actually going on around us, and then is the time to act.

Americans are so happy to simply sit back and consume and regurgitate pre-thought thoughts, because it is just easier that way. I find this rather repulsive. In order to try and facilitate creativity I began what is right now quite an infant website, but one that I hope will greatly expand. It can be found at http://www.beforeitburnsout.com.

Thanks for reading! Now go out and decide for yourself what is best for you.

Whenever we listen to prominent politicians, both Republican and Democrat, we often hear them evoke the powerful ideals of "freedom" and "liberty," but their declarations mostly ring hollow. The fact is that it is impossible to genuinely promote freedom while continually acting to grow the government and increase dependence on the welfare state. While it does have a role to play, government is, and can only be, force and coercion. The only ones who seem to understand this are libertarians.

While most people have not heard of the term "libertar...
