I have been reading the articles on the "No" side of this issue and as a Roman Catholic Christian, I feel that I must respond. There has been much misunderstanding regarding the words of the Vatican regarding the place of the Roman Catholic Church and salvation. Let me begin by saying that nowhere in the document does it say that non-Catholic Christians are excluded from salvation. The document does not even exclude non-Christians, or righteous non-believers from salvation.
