Hello,
My name is Barbara. I just celebrated my 30th birthday no longer in a relationship and I do not have any children although someday I hope to have at least three. I love kids. I come from a family of eight. I'm number seven so I have lots and lots of nieces and nephews. I also have six great nieces and nephews and one on the way. I am a very down to earth people person. I like to make people laugh. I love, love, love music. All kinds of music. I am like a walking juke box. Music keeps me sane. I used to play piano when I was in high school but have since stopped playing and I regret it. One day hopefully I'll get back into it. I also enjoy writing. I have hundreds of poems that I've written over the years although it has been a while since I have written one. I also enjoy writing short stories or stories that leave the reader to finish the ending. The reason I joined Helium is because of the fact that I can get back into my writing as I have pushed it aside with getting caught up with overcoming different hurdles in my life. I have a lot on my mind and I'm hoping Helium will give me some kind of outlet. I never even heard of this website, I just happened to come across it one day and so I decided to join. So this just a brief introduction about myself and as I get into it some more I will update. I'm looking forward to reading, writing and hearing other people's opinions, thoughts and feelings on different things. Take care and God Bless!

If it appears that someone is trying to control your life it is nobody's fault but your own. I say this because only you can allow someone to control your life. You have to be an adult and learn how to make your own decisions. There is no problem with talking to your friends or family to get advice on certain situations but you have to know where to draw the line. For starters, do not tell all of your friends every little detail of your life. There are some things that people just do not need to know. If you fall into the category of telling them everything that happens to you from the mom...
