About me - Rob O'Hannon

aboutme

I live in Hollis, a wonderful little town in New Hampshire.

I am a flexible writer, meaning I feel I can write anything from poetry to opinion pieces. My prime writing is screenwriting as I tend to be a visual person.

I am very interested in history and its effect on what is happening today. I participate in historic reenactment, particularly World War II events. One of my best moments was showing up at a veterans parade my dad was riding in, dressed as a medic (his job in WW II).

I love to travel, particularly to the UK where my wife and I hope to settle someday.

I love writing on Helium as a way to relax. So far I've written over 200 articles. 36% of my articles rank in the top 5 of their categories, and 56% rank in the top 10, so I must be doing something right.

Here's my professional representation info and write up:

Screenwriter represented by Patricia Miller of White Orchid Literary and talent:

Screenplays include features and short scripts as well as numerous TV projects geared toward the BBC. I'm a published writer as well as an actor and director in theater.

My first screenplay option - DARK NIGHTS OF THE SOUL - is short script in pre-production with Splitsecond Films in the UK.

Politics, News & Issues > Politics in the Middle & Near East Murder of Benazir Bhutto: Another tragic victim of terrorism
1 of 21

The murder of Benazir Bhutto demonstrates on thing very clearly - those who ally and support al Qaeda are only allying with and supporting their own worst enemies.

Al Qaeda and those in Pakistan's current political and military system who support them may see removing Bhutto as a gain, but at best it will be a short-term gain at best, with long-term losses. By this despicable action the corrupt system, supported by a self-inflicted terrorist threat to stability, which attempts to give license to government excess, will be exposed under the white-hot spotlight of international attention.
