I live in the eastern part of Tennessee and was born with the gift of gab. I enjoy talking and listening to people in order to get their opinions and beliefs on different subjects. I believe that through writing I can offer a perspective that comes from the working class of individuals. I have a lot to learn about writing and enjoy having Helium available so that others can read my writing and offer their opinions on my style and content. I have two beautiful children and I receive a lot of my inspiration from them and my wife Sue. We have a lot to be thankful for and Helium is on the list as well. Hope you enjoy my work.

It is very hard for journalism to be 100% non-fiction. See, fiction is whenever a writer or other journalist takes a story and rather than tell the whole truth they embellish it.
This embellishment can come from leaving part of the story out, adding something to the story, or even the way it is said. It does not have to be intentional. When we edit a story for time and don't get the "whole story publicised" we have quite possibly changed the meaning of the story for someone. Now, as if this wasn't complicated enough we have to think of one more thing that makes journalism fiction.
