Living outside Dallas but probably not forever, I am by nature a wanderer with a lust for new things and places. Texas is my heart home, it hasn't been my only home having over the years lived for a time in many places including Seattle, Richmond, VA, Munich, Singapore. I suspect that there are more moves in the future and think that eventually I will land on an island somewhere with white sands and rolling waves to sooth my restless spirit.
I share my space with a musician husband, two dogs, four cats, and a Cockatoo named Merlin. We live somewhat peacefully together most of the time although it can be at times quite loud. The noise is joyful and fun with drums, keyboards, bass, squawking birds, and barking dogs who at times try to sing with the music of life and sirens.

My philosophy is that it is never to late to learn and grow, I hope to prove this soon.

My second chance was not an act of nature but an act of cruel violence so terrible and so meaningless even today my heart and my mind have difficulty reconciling it. My story is hard for me to tell even sixteen years later I am reminded of just how ephemeral life can be and how vulnerable I am. But that day I didn't know that my life was about to change forever. Looking back, I believe I had been preparing all my life to survive this single night. I didn't know that in the space two hours and with three bullets, everything in my world would change forever.
