I am a 48 year old woman, but still a true kid at heart. I can be serious when I want to be or have to be, but I'm always up for a good tickling or wrestling match, watching sitcoms or playing video games, or just being silly. Laughter is the best medicine and I like to be healthy.
I have two amazing sons who are now in their mid 20's, and through them, I've learned to never grow old (or act old for that matter). I can't grow old because I never know when they'll come through the door and tackle me, and I want to be able to pin them down in return and show them "Who's your mama now!" *Grins*
Aside from the kid in me, I love to write and express my ideas, hence why I am a part of the Helium community. I also enjoy seeing how other people view topics and how they express themselves. Through another persons viewpoint, it can open up a whole new way of looking at different issues or topics, and I've learned quite a bit through reading what others have written here.
This is why I feel extremely lucky to have found this site. Helium has given me the opportunity to do the things that I use to just dream about. I can now write when I want to, about any topic that is intriguing at the time, or simply read what others have enjoyed writing.
I also love the simple things in life and enjoy simplifying the complex things in life. I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if we might not see the reasoning for it at the moment. I believe and trust in God to hold every one of us accountable for our actions, and in a sense I believe that He is the force behind what we call karma. Whatever we do in life, either good or bad, comes back to us in some form or another.
For quite awhile, this section of 'about me' simply said "Under Construction." That was because of how I viewed myself and actually still do. Although my morals and ideals remain the same, I'm constantly learning (or experimenting with) new concepts and trying to see if I can make something in life just a little bit better.

You looked in your vehicle for spare change, you checked the couch cushions and even looked through the clothes in the dirty laundry for some of that elusive change, but sadly, you found none. Now you're seriously broke, and it aint no joke!
Now, people might be advising you to budget, or maybe to keep better track of where you spend your money, which is some very sound advice. You thank them for their advice, but you're probably thinking "A lot of good that does me now, when I'm broke."
When some people find themselves flat broke, it usually isn't due to bad budgeting, but rather so...
