I am a 44 year old happily married mother of two children. I am a Christian and on fire for God's teaching and enjoy spreading the message of God to everyone and anyone. I work full time to pay the bills, but the blessings I receive full outweigh the monetary benefits I receive from my job. My children are my greatest accomplishments in my life. Being a parent, is one of the most challenging jobs I have ever had. Every decision I make, I take into account how will this affect my children? I strive to be the best role model for my children as well as their friends. As much as I want to be their "friend", right now that is not possible. They need a parent. We can be friends when they are older, but they need boundaries and consequences, and it's hard when you are on your own to always be consistent and follow through, but I do my best. Sometimes I succeed, other times, I fall short. But my children know that I love them. Everything I do for them, I do because I love them. I love them enough, I would die for them. I want to be the best parent I can, and with God's help, I will be. Without God, helping me, there is no way I would have made it this far. My children may not fully understand how important God is, but they know HE is part of our lives and that without HIM, our lives could be so much worse. I attend church services weekly to Praise and Worship HIM and I like to take walks, spend time outdoors in nature and be with family and friends. Family time is important to me.

The most important thing that parents or adults need to remember, is that everyone has very different coping skills, and therefore, teaching your child to cope with their feelings, will depend a lot on how you cope with yours. I think the best thing to tell a child is that everyone has feelings and emotions sometimes that can seem overwhelming and that even the most mature person to them, may not have all t...
