Your sunken sallow face sits waiting for its fate Your eyes are dull and lifeless with not a flicker when awake Your soul is slowly draining with each and every breath Your breath is short and shallow hardly a motion do you make We sit and watch you lying waiting for your to go Praying, crying, weeping living in dis-pare We clutch your hand for comfort and meet the chill of death The time is of no importance except the time you die The finale breath was long, we knew it was the time I slowly kissed your forehead and sadly said my goodbyes
