About me - Dusty Summer

About me

Teacher, parent, reader, thinker, student. Compassionate but irritated with the current state of affairs in the USA, deeply troubled by the crazy state of domestic and foreign policy and the injustice it is perpetuating here and abroad.

I enjoy my early high school age daughter, my 24 year old daughter, and my wonderful almost-five year old granddaughter. I work in the field of education, higher ed and secondary teaching and consulting. My BA is in psychology, MS in Management Science, and my Ed.D. is progressing with dissertation planning.

I am interested in freelance work to open new avenues for writing. I love to write "on the spot" with narrative and story. With my training I am also able to tackle projects requiring research and am familiar with various methods and methodology. Someday I would hope to find a niche' within an e-Zine or two as a part-time freelancer-with the background in psychology, education, life experience, and management I am sure something will present-I have a quick wit, good intellect, open writing style, and love to give light but relevant advice to help readers open to the possibilities within them.
