This cake is a real indulgence. But who cares, its delicious and perfect served with a pot of coffee.

Ingredients:

3 large eggs
75g/3oz sugar
50g/2oz plain flour
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon oil

Topping and filling:

1 425g/14oz can black cherries
1 tablespoon arrowroot
3 tablespoons kirsch
284ml/10 fl oz whipped double cream
Chocolate curls

Pre heat the oven to 190 degrees C/375 degrees F/Gas mark 5.

Whisk the eggs and sugar until mousse like before sifting and folding in the flour and cocoa powder. Finally fold in the oil.
