I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and emigrated to the United States with my family at age 2.
Grew up and live in southern California.
I am 24 years old. I have a bachelor's in English with a minor in education.
I will be going on to pursue a teaching credential.
I currently work two jobs. Five days a week I work for an after school program that is partially sponsored by California proposition 49. I also work as a substitute for para-educators and noon supervisors.

Separate but equal?
History is repeating itself and nobody seems to notice. In the 1930s &'40s, children were segregated for the color of their skin. America likes to think that we are the mighty equalizer. Did segregation really end? It's back with a vengeance and a new target. It's known social fact that our public school systems are failing. I can't and won't dispute that here.
