I became a lover of writing in my early teens. As I penciled my first short story of drama, I knew this was what I was meant to do.

I have written several short stories and poems, none of them had been published elsewhere. Helium was my first outlet for sharing my prized writing.

Since joining Helium, I have ventured out into writing articles on various subjects. Many of the medical based articles I have written came from personal experience as a Medical Assistant.

I am currently in the process of writing a memoir, and a crime novel. As I build my portfolio here, my writing improves and my books begin to flow more freely.

The American Heart Association played an important role in my father's quest to quit smoking. After smoking for 52 years, he realized the necessity of putting the cigarettes away forever. He just didn't know how to do it.

With the help of the American Heart Association, and their how to programs, my father quit smoking in about 5 weeks. They provided answers to all the concerns he had. It was sort of like a rebuttal to every excuse he had, and that was all it took.
