About me - Jack Winter

About me

Name: Donald Harold Young II

Age: 35

I am currently a student attending school at South Dakota State University. I will be graduating with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries sciences in December of 2010, I will be following that up with a Major in Biology or Ecology, as of now I am undecided as to which, and possibly a major in English. I like to call myself a naturalist writer who loves football.

It is because of my love for football that my pen name came into existence. Jack Winter is derived from a time in my youth when I liked to play video games. I had made a character in NFL Madden 98 on Playstation whose name was Jack Winter, he played Free safety for the Miami Dolphins. A couple of friends and I each had a team, mine of course was the Dolphins, during our first season I had the opportunity to play the Dallas Cowboys, it was this game that the name Jack Winter really stuck in my mind because on Dallas's first drive Jack CRUSHED Emmit Smith so terribly hard that Jack actually cracked Emmit's spine causing him to retire prematurely, none of my friends nor I have seen an injury so severe in all of the football games we have had the opportunity to play.  It may seem funny, and perhaps it is, but Jack Winter has always stuck in my mind as a BAD ASS name.  ;-)

It echoed in the cell with an overwhelmingly quiet, "Drip drip drip drip drip...," the only other sounds permeating the air were the prisoners steady breath and the beating of his heart. His heart beat in time with the constant dripping, "boo-booph boo-booph boo-booph boo-booph boo-booph " The walls had tick marks all over. Each mark represented a day ...
