If the invasion of Iraq was appropriate, which requires a major leap of faith, then certainly occupation was not in order. Americans are not prepared for hostile occupations, which is what this is and which was predictable. We don't speak Arabic and we are not used to 120 degree heat. The idea of convincing others to join us was good, if we were going in, but it should have included Arab countries and a clear exit strategy.
