About me

Creativity and self-expression are requirements in my everyday life. If I'm not writing or playing music, I am working on a craft project by myself or with my children.

I had been writing for my own enjoyment until August of 2007. I happened to fall across Helium by accident, but it was love at first glance. I sold my first article, "The Best and Worst of Karaoke," in 6 months and have sold many articles outside of Helium since. The knowledge I have gained here, as both a writer and a reader, is priceless.

For 16 yrs, I have been an Oboist. I toured Europe at the age of 14 and have played in many venues throughout the US and Canada. I am currently giving lessons and clinics at the local schools as well as performing at various local locations. I have recently started to teach my 6 yr old son guitar and piano.

In my spare time, I like to scrapbook my families memories, paint, draw, crochet, cross stitch, and create various home decor items. My husband and I also enjoy photography, movies, online games, and the outdoors.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me via the 'contact me' button on the side. Whether it is positive or negative, I love to hear your feedback.

Females, males, and those caught in between are told what to say, how to behave, and what thoughts and dreams are appropriate.

Females are groomed from birth to suit society's standards of behavior. Girls play house, dolls, wear pink, and follow in the footsteps of their female rol...
