: About Me

I have working in the IT industry for the past 25 years and have recently semi-retired. I am now living in Koh Samui, Thailand and owns two pubs here. Our main pub is a small Scandinavian themed bar called Viking Bar and is located at Chaweng, the main night area of Koh Samui. The other which also serves as a restaurant is called Foxy's Bar & Grill and is located at the lovely quiet area of Choeng Mon, Koh Samui.

During my years in the IT industry, I have been involved in the whole cycle of software development (ie from systems analysis to programming) and also in customer training and implementation. I started my career as a Programmer and ended up managing my firm for many years before retiring.

Computing has always been my love and I have never had a day where I did not enjoy going to work. However, the hard work took it toil and I am glad to be semi-retired right now.

Now, my little pubs gives me equal joy as I get to meet all kinds of people from all over the world. I am based in a tourist island and almost 98% of my customers are tourists in Chaweng whereas in Choeng Mon, most of our customers are local 'farang' residents or long-term tourists.

But I have not forsaken my first love. I still offer my skills as a consultant to friends and companies who wishes to utilize my knowledge. I have now expanded my business to include web hosting services, web designs and crm implementations. My focus is web designs through the popular CMS, Joomla!. As for the CRM, I have chosen vTiger, the open source CRM software.
