As a father, husband, teacher, and writer, I have finally arrived at that previously-elusive point where it's time to write. Nonetheless, procrastination-among more understandable distractions, such as family and work-still rules my world. Alas, I pray, that my actions will presently outweigh these very words.

We spread her ashes on the ocean,
On swells that lacked her emotion.
She was a happy, happy soul
Who had paid the final toll.

She is gone, gone forever.
Will I see her again, ever?
Into the current her ashes swirled
To find new purpose in this world.

"On a world cruise!" I say
To those who ask how she is today.
