Born in Iowa in 1949 I grew up in a small town with three older brothers. My early religious education was in a Congregational church, but by the time I was 17, I had chosen to become a Roman Catholic. I attended colleges in Minnesota, attaining a BS teaching degree in Public Speaking. I then enlisted in the Navy where I worked as a hospital psychiatric technician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
When I figured out that I was gay, I left the military and relocated to Phoenix Arizona. There I discovered Metropolitan Community Churches. These churches pursue a primary ministry to the GLBT community. Impressed by the genuine grassroots ministry of these people who loved Jesus and just wanted to tell others about the amazing breadth and depth of God's grace, I began the journey toward credentials as a pastor in that denomination. Along with my life partner, Ricci, I pastored MCC churches for about 15 year before leaving the denomination. That denomination continues to touch countless people with the love of God, but our choice was to move again into less structured and non-denominational ministries.
I met Ricci, the love of my life in 1976. Twenty-four years my senior, she has remained my best friend, constant companion, and co-worker in the Lord's vineyard. We have been extremely blessed. She is currently battling Cancer. This has opened a whole new vista of challenges to our growth, and our dependence on God.
I was licensed as an RN in 1990, and have worked as a Medical Surgical/Geriatric nurse in several locations since then.
Our Internet ministry began in 1995 where we have built and rebuilt websites at rainbow.cc, and My-theology.org. A primary feature of the rainbow site is an original daily bible series which is a chapter by chapter commentary on the entire New Testament. My-theology features theological reflections by Ricci.

As the years go by, accidents and injuries catch up with us. Fractures, back injuries, pulled tendons, damaged cartilage, repetitive motion, and disease processes like neuropathy, arthritis and fibromyalgia can lead to chronic discomfort limiting daily activity, interrupting sleep, and causing physical and emotional stress.
