Hello, My name is Nancy, I am woman, wife, mother, and grandmother, stepmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
I was born and raised in Canada. I have two beautiful adopted children, a daughter and a son. My daughter has blessed me with two precious granddaughters and a handsome grandson. My son has a heart of gold. I am such a lucky woman.
I was remarried in 2002 to a wonderful American and moved to the United States. I now have two wonderful step-daughters and two beautiful step-grandchildren. I love it here though I miss my family terribly.
I am a thinker, I do not consider myself a poet but I like to write down thoughts in free-style poetic form. I wrote my first poem when I was nine years old and it has been a secert passion of mine ever since.
One of my favorite quotes:
"In the end it's not going to matter how many breaths you took; but how many moments took your breath away"
I have a compassion for children and much sympathy for another's suffering. I wish to be a voice for those who have none; the aborted, starving and homeless children, and those poor souls ruled by corrupt governments.
My passion is ...
poetry, music, nature, books, children, LIFE
I know too much about ...
illness & pain
My parents always told me ...
never give up
My childhood ambition ...
to live, to be a mother, to be loved, to go on an safari, to write poetry and short stories
My favorite memory ...
growing up on a farm, I love wide open spaces, green grass, meadows, woods and all the beauty that nature provides
Why I write ...
writing to me is like breathing, I have to, it is a journey and a release.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read daily, I'm watching this screen, listening to country music.
My first job ...
a waitress
My best moment ...
when I adopted my daughter and my son; when I married my soulmate!
My inspiration ...
LIFE and the priviledge of giving and receiving so many blessings
