About me - Doc Meson

About me

An electrical engineer turned physicist, turned...well, I let you know when I'm there.

I've studied every thing from quantum physics to physiology, from matrix mechanics to organic chemistry, from writing sci-fi and fantasy fiction to playing guitar and piano. I guess I'm an amateur polymath.

I'm writing on Helium to hone my non-fiction writing skills. If you like (or dislike), agree (or disagree) with an article of mine drop me a message. I welcome well-reasoned criticism.

High before, low afterward; two sequential visual events that help us experience time. When we hear a sound, we experience silence, sound, then silence again. This sequence of three events gives us another experience of time. A gust of wind, a sweet taste, hunger, pain - all these disappear and appear combining to give...
