Being nominated as the world's best-looking writer didn't boost my ego. It was flattering, but I still pride myself on modesty, and that works well for my writing. When I was one-year-old, I was attacked by a Dark Wizard, which left me with a lightning bolt shaped scar on my forehead. The Simpsons Movie

Though the beginning half hour of The Simpsons Movie displayed humor reminiscent of the earlier, or as I think, the "golden years" of the Simpsons, eventually the movie starts relying on sight gags, accompanied by Homer's stupidity and whining, for laughs. In this way it parallels The Simpsons television series that started to deteriorate in quality with each new season after around the tenth. As The Simpsons Movie progresses, it becomes less comical and fails to live up to the best of its potential.
