My name is Bre Anna Cox and I am twenty-four years old. I have an A.A. in Liberal Arts and will be attending SF State for my bachelor's in Communications this fall. I have been writing my entire life. When I was six years old my mother wrote down a poem I spoke to her for my first grade class, and it was placed in the newspaper. I won many awards at the age of fourteen at the Lassen County fair for both art and creative writing. At the age of seventeen I edited a high school magazine "Refrigerate After Opening", where three of my poems were published. In my free time I love to read, go on road trips, listen to music, and hang out with my significant other, my friends and family. Subjects I enjoy are music, politics, religion, spirituality, and philosophy.
Peace is not a concept that can be obtained through effort or through religious guidelines (although religion may be the tool that aids in an individual's travel toward a peaceful state). It is not achieved through unity of nations, nor is it found after death. It can never arrive after every desire is fed, because new desires replace those that have already self-destruct. Peace is a state of mind which manifests as being. It is an awareness that transcends all concerns of the material world, and all confusion of the mind. Peace is awareness. It is seeing without eyes, hearing without ears...
