About me - Lynda Naclerio

About me

I'm an overgrown seven-year-old with a love for everything weird and funny. I was raised on British comedy and credit Monty Python for keeping me alive.

I love animals, to the point where I would gladly become the local crazy cat lady had I the space and funding. I currently live with two cats, one dog, and a couple of humans.

I started blogging nearly ten years ago, and since 2004 I've been responsible for the webcomic Monkey. I'll leave those, and any of my work here, for you to judge. Depending on the day of the week, I'll either love what I'm doing or wonder why I ever bothered, so I tend to leave projects hanging until I'm back in the right frame of mind.

I listen to music all day, every day, and find that I have a soundtrack to everything I've ever written. I make notes including the song that was playing, so I can go back and remember exactly what was going on. It's one of about ten mutant powers I have, and the only one I'll get into right now.

I also edit and retouch photos, and although some of my best stories come from my days converting film-to-video, many cannot be told. I once lost someone's face, and my first thought upon hearing his mother had passed on was, "Ah. Well, you know about the face now."
