About me

Patricia Louisa Mae Jones was born in 1972, in San Diego, California. She wrote her first poetry in High School to the man she would marry just days after graduation. Their eighteen year marriage has been blessed with three children, a son, Kyle, and two daughters, Heather and Brandi. They now reside in Mexico, Missouri while Patricia continues her education in nearby Columbia.

Following graduation with honors and a BFA in Creative Writing from Stephens College, Patricia attends the University of Missouri at Columbia, working on her Master of Arts in Composition and Rhetoric.

She has had her prose and poetry published in literary magazines across the country, in print and online, as well as in magazines and news publications. In 2007 she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in Poetry for her poem Doctor Kennedy.
