I am writing in several different genres here at Helium, trying to find the right fit, including humor and murder mysteries. I enjoy writing both.
In the humor category, I would love to emulate Erma Bombeck's success as a writer. I attend the bi-annual Erma Bombeck Writer's Workshop at the University of Dayton. She was the greatest American humorist of our generation, a terrific role model for women, and has inspired many talented humor writers.
I like interjecting humor into my more serious writings as well. I am a member of the Robert Benchley Society and the National Association of Newspaper Columnists.
My writing experience is extensive. I wrote for a technical publishing company, a subsidiary of McGraw-Hill, for over 12 years as a staff writer and freelanced for a few industry publications. I will provide additional details and my resume to interested literary agents or publishers upon request.

"Looky here, some poor man named Stavros Flatley wants to dance naked in front of the Queen of England," She gasped. "Why, he even has a young son that he is encouraging to be a delinquent. When I was a girl, my mother told me this was coming. She blamed it all on the Turkey Trot. You know, all that dance...
