People have been saying for years now that baseball needs to have a salary cap. To them, it seems like the haves in the sport have more success than the have nots. The argument you hear most often is that it would level the playing field and thus make it fairer for teams in smaller markets (i.e., Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Minneapolis-St. Paul).
